Lots of flavors to choose from and they give you a pretty good-sized bit when you ask to sample. The ladies we worked with greeted us when we walked in, were very friendly, and openly shared their recommendations and most popular flavors. Strongly recommend a visit to Gypsea Gelato while in Kona. Our favorite flavors were For the Love of Chocolate and Vanilla Cake with Butterscotch. Did not love the Rum Raisin or the Coconut Haystack.
Excellent gelato with a local flair. The only other gelato I have had in the US that was as good is from an award winning shop owned by an Italian couple in Phoenix who learned their trade in Italy. So glad they now have a shop in Kona!
Gelato is some of the best I've ever had! They use quality ingredients with flavors spanning from traditional to Hawaiian specialty. Definitely worth stopping.
Visited new location in Kailua. Serving are huge. Be sure to take lots of extra napkins and go back for wet wipes when done. Peles kiss is great but only for those who want a bit of spice with their chocolate. Raspberry sorbet is a perfect companion
Absolutely heavenly! This was our family's "go to" dessert place during our stay in Hawaii. Mac Nut, Toasted Coconut (with individual chocolate coated coconut shavings), Passion Fruit Sorbet, Raspberry Sorbet, (real) Mint Chocolate, all of them received a "Delicious" rating from my family!! The manager and staff were all great hosts and provided excellent customer service! Keep serving it up friendly and tasty servings. We can't wait until our next visit!!
