Truth be told, one of the most expensive spas on this island, can't hold a candle to the experience at Island Spirit. At this (not to be mentioned spa), I am rushed into the next 50 minute slot and rushed out. The therapists (while capable) are on a tight schedule and you are a piece of meat in their hands.
At Island Spirit, you are transported back to a slower time, treated as a very special guest, offered beverages and relaxed before your massage even begins.
This is a special place full of special people. The thoughtfully hand picked flower arrangements, the beautiful essential oil lamps, the pleasant tropical sounds coming in the windows and the general warmth and aloha spirit all combine to make this place a heavenly sanctuary. I've had treatments by almost everyone there and have always left feeling restored and in much less pain. My last visit was with Candy and she was incredible. She listened to me and immediately understood what I needed. It was intense and therapeutic, indeed exactly what I needed. Visit, relish, savor, luxuriate...life is short.

Stopped by completely by chance and had the most wonderful massage experience! We were welcomed warmly by Christine who informed us about what they do and the types of massages they offer. I was having a sore neck and some shoulder pain (due to the extensive driving the past few days in Maui and Big Island). I informed Ken (who was my masseuse) and he was able to work out the tensions and the knots. Ken was very experienced and incorporated various techniques and stretches to ease the pain in my shoulder, back and neck. Couldn't have asked for anyone better. The best massage I have received in a long long time. The experience ended with a nice drink and good conversation. Would highly recommend this place for anyone new to getting massages and also if you have specific needs and are looking for experienced hands.

Christine and Ken were great! we were lucky they could fit us in even though we just walked in without an appointment. Christine combined many different types of massages that worked just right for me, getting to all the tensed muscles and leaving me completely relaxed. Overall a great experience!
