The guest rooms, decks, public area and surrounding grounds have us, the traveler, in mind. Mermaid decor is creative, tastefully done and heightens the experience.
And their are mermaid tails to rent adding to a memorable journey to Hawaii.
Mermaid host, Heather, and considerate hubby, Bud, have created a rejuvinating and gorgeous environment. Sooooo peaceful.
We can’t really put into words how amazing this stay was. Bud and heather made us feel at home straight away. They are the friendliest and most welcoming hosts I have ever come across! The property is exceptional and has a beautiful energy. They have created a wonderful Hawaiian experience at mermaid dreams! They were extremely helpful in giving us insider info on the island and helped us book awesome trips that we will never forget! We had a different home cooked breakfast with wonderful fresh fruits and a range of food every morning - we couldn’t ask for more! We will definitely be coming back again! Rooms were spacious, quiet, and well stocked. They had quality snorkeling gear and beach towels available. Heather even took us out one morning to go snorkeling where she taught us about some local folklore and identified all the different sea creatures. My wife and I can swim, though never feeling strong enough to comfortably go into deeper snorkeling waters, but Heather's gentle encouragement and excitement drew us out into great areas for snorkeling. Bud was very accommodating in changing up his breakfast plan after finding out we are vegetarian. On our next visit, because this island is too vast to take it all in over a single week, we'll spend more time in their meditation/yoga tent and having wine on the lanai overlooking their luscious garden.
Beautifully situated in a corner of Hawaiian luxury. Gorgeous landscaping, pretty rooms decorated in lovely colors. Even a mermaid room.

Been recommending Heather and Bud's phenomenal B&B to all my friends and family if/when they visit Hawaii Island. We also plan to stay here again when we come back. For a B&B, Mermaid Dreams is most similar to staying at a friend's amazingly decorated house. This is especially true because they will only treat you like close friends. There are so many adventures available every minute on the Big Island, but my wife and I are really glad we took the time to relax over brunch and have long conversations with Bud and Heather instead.
