Im so glad that Wally is taking care of watches. I have so many watches that he takes care of my watch batteries otherwise I would have to go to Kailua-Kona jewelry store and they would charge me so much more. It is a dying art yet Wally is keeping it alive. Mahalo Wally
DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUSINESS THERE. I was treated so rudely and I got ripped off. Just needed a battery replaced, should have taken less than 10 minutes. He quoted me $15 to change the battery, which seems expensive compared to jewelry shops or just buying a battery from Wal-Mart. But he said I should drop it off and come back in a few days. Ok, I came back a few days later and he said he didn't have that kind of battery and needed to special order it. Ok, I came back the next week. Still not ready. And then again the week after that. He's now had the watch over 3 weeks and finally the battery was replaced but he surprised me with extra charges for a loose post that needed to be fixed, which I didn't authorize for him to do. So now the charge went up $26. And he didn't even bother to set the time/calendar on the watch. He refused to give me any sort of warranty or guarantee on the battery or the repairs he did without asking me. And also didn't give me a receipt, so this bad review is the only record of my experience. Truly disappointing!
I have just moved back to Kona from North Carolina and am so happy to Wally's Repair is still there. I am bringing my watches in this week. He is awesome!
