Where your keiki (kids) are treated like ohana (family)!

Passionate administration, good balance of curriculums, both Waldorf and Charter disciplines. Dedicated teachers. Recommend.

yeah,,,,this school is cute and fun for grades preK-4, with all the little dances and songs and plays. but once academia starts to become important in your kid's education, it gets old. and a huge waste of time. art is very important to one's lifestyle, i do agree, but when it takes up 2+ hours out of your school day everyday for the second semester, it gets you behind drastically on your math and other subjects. my child go to another school, and trust me, most of the kids that graduated from this school are failing or struggling in math. lots of history is missing in their curriculum too, as in american history. they could tell you all about mesopotamian currency structures though! your kid might be better off somewhere else, unless you want them to spend their days sitting in the dirt playing with sticks and crayons at 14. also, lots of drug paraphernalia is found on campus and they really haven't given much of an effort to stop it. the whole campus, in fact, is out of code and really hazardous and unsanitary at times, especially when it rains. speaking of rain, when it doesn't rain, school's cancelled. why? their water comes from catchment, a big ol' metal tub sitting in the sun, covering in grass and all kinds of surprises. also be prepared to send lunch with them to school everyday, unless you want your kid to eat soggy carrots and bread that's been sitting in a van all morning. anyway, that's my little rant for this lovely little hippie school. dear office lady that's probably steaming over this review, no, I am not gonna call the office to resolve my problems. I don't have any personal problems with this school anymore, so I can't resolve anything with you. just wanting to plop my review here so families dont make the same mistake we did. and if you're still wanting to send your child here, have fun paying for 75% of the out of island airfare and lodging trips and fundraising supplies for their failed attempts at fundraising. with love, a regretful parent.
